Veterinary Receptionist (Full Time – £8.91-£10 per hour)
Due to internal promotion, we are now seeking a dynamic, driven and empathetic individual to join our reception team on a full-time basis.
We are one of only a handful of independent practices in the Bristol area and pride ourselves on maintaining traditional values whilst upholding outstanding levels of service for both patients and clients.
We offer a friendly, caring atmosphere in a single-site, modern and well-equipped surgery. Our supportive team is made up of 5 vets, 4 RVNs, 1 VCA & 3 receptionists.
The ideal candidate will be someone who thinks on their feet, can problem solve and can make their own decisions. Empathy and listening skills are essential due to the nature of the job.
Although no day is the same, some typical duties include: –
· Front of house – maintaining a 5-star relationship with our clients and patients (puppy cuddles are encouraged). Assisting with any queries visitors may have and ensuring the reception area is clean and organised.
· Responding to general enquiries – answering phone calls and replying to clients email and PetsApp messages.
· Assisting with Health Plan queries – introducing new clients to our monthly healthcare plan, answering questions and ensuring paperwork is completed correctly.
· Dispensing medication and preparing food orders
· General administrative duties to support the clinical team & the smooth running of the practice.
This position has a lot of potential and there are always opportunities to learn new skills, take on new responsibilities and grow with the practice. We are very invested in our team, and encourage everyone to be the best version of themselves.
We pride ourselves on ensuring everybody is given a voice no matter what their position in the practice – we hold daily morning huddles, and monthly practice meetings so everyone has a platform to share their thoughts, ideas and concerns.
We consistently receive great reviews via our Vet Help Direct page and have recently been awarded ‘Best in Bristol’ at the Best UK Vet Awards 2021. To read some of the feedback from our clients, please click here.
